Suspect drops gun while fleeing P.A. police

A Prince Albert man is facing weapons charges after police chased a suspect throughout town early this morning, Sept. 19.

Around 2 a.m. officers were patrolling downtown near 10th St. W. when they noticed a man known to have outstanding warrants. The suspect fled toward Central Ave.

During the foot pursuit, officers tackled the suspect and arrested him. They located a sawed off .22 rifle.

The 23-year-old faces charges for several firearms offences and by being at large of his recognizance.
