Red carpet ready for the BOB Awards bash

It’s one of the highlights on the Prince Albert calendar.

The 4th annual BOB Awards – The Best of The Best, presented by paNOW – are hosted from 6 p.m. tonight at the Ches Leach lounge at the Art Hauser Centre. 

PaNOW’s Joe Bexson says these really are the ‘people’s choice’ awards.

“The great thing about it is that we get to recognize some of the businesses that never get that opportunity to be recognized,” Bexson said.

Also, community members are recognized for their contributions. Bexson said there has been an ever-growing buzz in Prince Albert and area since the event was first launched.

“People plan and they don’t want to miss this party, which in turn causes them to want to win a BOB Award,” he said.

The red carpet is quite literally rolled out for the all the ‘stars’ of the show, which encompasses a very varied list of the Best of the Best in the area.

PaNow’s Marlene Stene said part of the fun is the glamour ‘A-list’ treatment the winners get from the start of the evening. As soon as the doors open the winners are greeted in style.

“They get to walk the red carpet, stand in front of our big BOB Awards backdrop, and get their photo taken with their award,” she said. “A lot of the businesses are so, so grateful to the public for being there and supporting them.”

Over 300 guests are expected for the party which features great food and drink and live entertainment.

Some tickets were still available Friday and anyone wanting to be a part of this special night should call paNOW.
