Police, RCMP make large meth bust

Prince Albert police and RCMP joined forces to seize a sizeable amount of methamphetamine, guns and cash.

On Wednesday, Sept. 13, police executed a search warrant in the 100 Block of 28th St. W. The lone man found inside the home was arrested.

The residence was searched and police found a loaded .45 calibre handgun with magazines and a pellet handgun. Inside a locked case were large bags of methamphetamine totaling 140.1 grams, and several small baggies of methamphetamine totaling 11.5 grams. A large amount of cash was also seized from the safe.

The 46-year-old man from Prince Albert is charged with unlawful trafficking of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana not exceeding 30 grams, eight firearms related charges and possession of property not exceeding $5,000 derived from proceeds of crime.
