Members of the RCMP and the Prince Albert police combined efforts to take illegal weapons off the streets.

Police issued a warrant Tuesday at a Prince Albert residence in the 1600 Block of 17th St. W.

One suspect at the residence was arrested. The residence was then searched and a .270 rifle and a large amount of ammunition was located.

The 39-year-old from Prince Albert is charged with seven firearms related offenses and one charge of failing to comply with his recognizance to not possess firearms, ammunition or other weapons.
