Demystifying archives: How to find and access provincial records

Sep 12, 2017 | 2:00 PM

The provincial archives are a treasure trove of information but it can be a daunting task to sift through.

As such, archivist Christine Charmbury is offering a public presentation in Prince Albert Tuesday evening on how to find and access records for research.

Nancy Carswell is a member of the Prince Albert Genealogy Society, which is hosting the event.

“I want not just to collect the names of my ancestors but I want to tell the stories of my ancestors,” Carswell said. “These resources that she [Charmbury] is going to teach me about will give me a better opportunity to do that.”
