Night of Music aims to raise evacuees’ spirits
Residents from Prince Albert and beyond are coming together to support wildfire evacuees tonight.
The Prince Albert Grand Council grounds hosts live entertainment this evening, all in the hopes of lifting evacuees’ spirits.
“I’m not sure we can ever really [take their minds off the situation], but at least give them some comfort and let them know they have support,” organizer Sheryl Kimbley said. “A lot of people are just looking for a way to help and they don’t know how to.”
Kimbley said many of the evacuees just want to go home. She said many are concerned about the wellbeing of their homes as well as the forests and lakes which sustain their livelihoods.
