Fire crews respond to unauthorized fires over weekend

Despite the near province wide fire ban, local fire crews responded to a number of unauthorized burnings over the long weekend.

Saturday and Sunday, the Prince Albert Fire Department responded to unapproved fires at Little Red River Park. 

Upon arrival, each fire was smouldering in one of the pits and quickly extinguished. No damage was reported.

Residents are reminded of the extremely dry conditions and a fire ban is in place at the park. People are asked to monitor media outlets for when the ban is lifted.
