Aug 18, 2017 | 12:08 PM

paNOW has learned the name of the victim involved in a suspicious death currently under investigation.

Although police have yet to confirm the victim, a woman says she identified the body which was found as Brett Ledoux, 26, from Mistawasis.

Police found a body at a house in the 800 block of 17th Street West Wednesday night. No other details have been released, but she believes Ledoux’s death was a homicide.

“It’s obviously a murder,” she said in a phone interview with paNOW. “The constable said that too… it’s straight up murder.”

The Facebook profile listed for Duane Brett Ledoux, which features pictures of him and the woman together, shows several posts dating back to Aug. 16 leaving messages of condolence.

The Prince Albert Police Service have said they will release more details as they become available. Members of the Criminal Investigation Division and IDENT Division are working with the Chief Coroner to investigate the death.
