Under-18 Astros and Under-14 Aces sitting pretty at nationals

The Prince Albert Astros are starting off the 2017 Under-18 Men’s Canadian Fast Pitch Championship in O’Leary, P.E.I., sitting in second in their pool.

They won both of their Wednesday games, 11-2 over Equipe Midget Du Quebec and 6-3 over the Colchester Royals from Nova Scotia. The Astros suffered their first loss on Thursday, 9-2 against AFW Construction Napanee Express from Ontario. Their second Thursday game will go against Chepstow, another Ontario club.

The Prince Albert Aces have an even record through their first two games at the 2017 Under-14 Girls Canadian Fast Pitch Championship in Brampton, Ont.

The Aces kicked off their tournament on Wednesday with a 6-2 win over the hosting Brampton Blazers, before a 3-0 loss to the Fraser Valley Fusion from B.C.
