Raiders let one slip by in the shootout

Oct 24, 2010 | 10:04 AM

The Raiders took it in the chin again last night.
It sent their losing streak into the four game mark.
The Lethbridge Hurricanes squeaked it out in the shootout. The score board showed a pair of snake eyes at the end of the third period.
The game was scoreless going into the second period. Hurricanes opened it up with a goal from May Ross just over three minutes into the period.
The Raiders tied it up 13 minutes later with a goal from right-winger Jonathon Parker.
With both goalies standing on their heads in a scoreless third and overtime, they were headed to a shoot-out.
It took more than the standard three shots to get the job done.
Raiders’ goalie Mark McNeill let the fifth Hurricane shot slide past him giving the visiting team the win.
The Raiders will try and redeem themselves Wednesday when the Moose Jaw Warriors come to town. The puck will hit the ice at 7 p.m.
