Baker last local hope at Junior Lobstick

After the opening round of 2017 Pepsi Junior Lobstick, there is only one Prince Albert golfer still hunting for the Championship Flight title.

P.A.’s T.J. Baker, who golfs out of the tournament hosting Waskesiu Golf Course, is the only local golfer to win his opening match.

Baker, the second ranked golfer after Monday’s qualifying round, beat Saskatoon’s Tian Rask.

Prince Albert’s Josh Guthrie and Ben Zultok were in the top three qualifiers, but lost their matches to Saskatoon Julian Gilewicz and Regina’s Will Blake, respectively.

Of the eight golfers in the Championship Consolation Flight, five of them will be from Prince Albert as Noah Parent, Kael Lechman and Mikhail Tait all made the top flight but lost their opening match.
