Aug 15, 2017 | 10:59 AM

SaskPower rates are on the way up.

In an announcement Tuesday, SaskPower said it is going to raise rates by five per cent, or about $6 more a month for an average customer.

That comes into effect March 1, 2018, if approved by the rate review panel.

Power rates have gone up at least once a year since 2013. As of Jan. 1, 2017, residential customers were paying an average of $22.76 more a month than in 2012.
