KidzFest brings hundreds to Kinsmen Park

Jul 20, 2017 | 5:42 PM

Every year the city’s Playground Program organizes a day of fun activities dedicated to children of all ages.

The free event, known as KidzFest, was held on July 20 and hundreds of people from all over the province attended.

Many hadn’t experienced KidzFest before, but those who did, came back for another year of making memories. The Saskatchewan Literacy Camp, three time attendee, brought 25 children to the event. Cooper Skjeie, one of the four supervisors in charge of the camp, said coming to the event was a good way to get involved in the community.

“It gives the kids something to do during the day…it gives the parents a break so they don’t have to worry about them when they’re at work, and, the kids have been having a blast,” he said.
