Lacrosse provincials in P.A. kicking off

For the first time, Prince Albert is hosting the midget, bantam and pee wee lacrosse provincials all together. This weekend the Kinsmen Arena and Steuart Arena will be packed with lacrosse action.

The games started on Saturday, with the Prince Albert Midget Attack falling 12-8 to the Standing Buffalo Fighting Sioux. In the bantam age group, the Prince Albert Trappers beat the Saskatoon Knights 15-3. The pair of Prince Albert pee wee clubs were also in action, with the Rivermen beating the Yorkton Fighting Pikes 11-4 and the 82’s fell 12-3 to the Regina Rush.

The opening ceremonies are on 11 a.m. on Saturday. The finals will be held in each division on Sunday morning.
