Thrills take centre stage under the Big Top

Jun 25, 2017 | 6:59 PM

The Royal Canadian Family Circus tumbled into Prince Albert this weekend bringing with it everything from high-flying acrobatics to death-defying tightrope acts.

The show was centred around thrilling daredevil style performances that pushed audiences to the edge. This was the first year the circus was travelling without exotic animals.

However, the show maintained traditional acts like clowns, acrobatic dogs, horses, the Globe of Death and aerial acrobatics.

The highlight of the show is the Duo Guerrero High Wire Act. This male-female duo from Spain was featured on America’s Got Talent. They flip the traditional roles on its head, having the female perform most of the heavy lifting, hoisting her male counterpart overhead.
