Extra inning drama to kick off Danny Boisson Memorial tourney

There was a little extra inning drama to wrap up the opening day of the Danny Boisson Memorial Super Tourney Friday at Prime Minister’s Park.

The Thunderbirds beat the R&W Pirates 6-4 in the eighth inning to win the all-P.A. affair. The Thunderbirds will move on to the A-side of the tournament in the C Division.

There were just two games in the A/B Division. The Saskatoon Angels beat the Team Saskatchewan Juniors 9-1, but lost to Bruno 10-2 in the night contest.

The tournament will continue throughout Saturday and Sunday at Prime Ministers’ Park.
