Outlaws eliminated from playoffs after heated battle with Steelers
The Prince Albert Outlaws were eliminated from the playoff race with their heated 12-9 loss to the Saskatoon Steelers Friday at the Kinsmen Arena.
The Outlaws needed a victory over the Steelers to keep their fourth place hopes alive, but the Steelers guaranteed the last playoff spot with the victory.
It was tied at 2-2 after the first period, but the Steelers found their scoring sticks in the second period, scoring seven goals and had a 9-4 lead heading into the final frame.
The Outlaws stormed back to make the game interesting but fell 12-9.
