Police investigating suspicious house fire

Prince Albert police and firefighters are investigating after a suspicious house fire last night.

The fire started last night at roughly 9 p.m. at a house in the 800 block of 17th St. W. Nobody was home at the time of the fire, but firefighters searched the structure to be sure before extinguishing the blaze without incident or injury.

This morning, Prince Albert Police Service issued a statement calling the fire “suspicious.” Both firefighters and police are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
