Emergency crews respond to accident on Diefenbaker Bridge

Firefighters and paramedics responded to a single-vehicle collision early this morning at the south end of Diefenbaker Bridge.
Smoke was showing from the vehicle when emergency crews arrived on the scene at approximately 4:30 a.m., and firefighters quickly established a safe area, cleaned up the spilled fluids and debris, and protected exposed power lines until the city’s duty foreman arrived.
Parkland Ambulance staff said no injuries were sustained, but the fire department reported the vehicle was “a total loss.”
