Police arrested an impaired driver after an incident yesterday morning, April 20.

At roughly 10:49 a.m. Prince Albert Police Service officers responded to a call about an impaired driver around the South Hill Mall area. Investigators found the vehicle on the 1200 block of 15th St. W.

After pulling the car over, the responding officer smelled liquor on the driver. Police say he also appeared intoxicated.

After exceeding the legal limit on the brethalyzer test, the man was charged with impaired driving and exceeding .08 while operating a motor vehicle.

The 30-year-old suspect was released and will return to court on May 23.
