Police, fire investigate suspicious blaze

City police and fire continue to investigate a suspicious house fire.

Yesterday at roughly 7 p.m., police responded to a house fire in the 1700 Block of 14th St W. Upon arrival, smoke was observed coming from a basement window.

Police and fire determined the residence was abandoned and vacant at the time.
