P.A. police seize guns, multiple rounds of ammo

A Prince Albert man is in custody after a search of his property revealed multiple weapons, including a handgun.

On March 17, at roughly 5 p.m., officers responded to an assault near MacArthur Dr. A motorist alleged a man flashed a concealed handgun and attempted to open the vehicle. The motorist drove away and called police.

Officers found the suspect at his apartment in the 700 block of MacArthur Dr. The suspect answered the door visibly intoxicated and was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon. During the arrest, officers saw several firearms lying in plain sight.

The next day, police searched the suspect’s vehicle and apartment. Six firearms were found and seized including a black SKS rifle, a Ruger 10/22, a M305 Norinco .308 semi-automatic rifle and two magazines, a 9 milimetre pistol with two magazines, a modified .410 CBC Shotgun, and a .177 pellet gun. A large amount of ammunition was also seized.
