Police make multiple arrests within 24 hours

The Prince Albert police have kept busy over the last 24 hours seizing a firearm, weapon, drugs, recovering a stolen vehicle and arresting an alleged thief.

On March 15, at roughly 5 p.m., patrol officers pulled over a vehicle on 29th St. E. because of a suspended license. When officers approached the vehicle, they spotted a rifle. The 48-year-old male driver was arrested for unsafe storage of a firearm. Upon further investigation, he was found to also be in possession of cocaine.

On March 15, at roughly 11:30 p.m., patrol officers pulled over a vehicle on 34th St. W. The 23-year-old front seat passenger was arrested after he was confirmed to be breaching court ordered conditions. Officers observed a baton inside the vehicle. The 32-year-old driver of the vehicle was also arrested. After a further search of the vehicle, police located and seized a machete and Methamphetamine.

On March 16, at roughly 2:45 a.m., patrol officers located a stolen vehicle travelling on 10th St. E. Officers initiated a vehicle stop without incident and four people were arrested. A 19-year-old and 31-year-old female, and a 34-year-old and 24-year-old male have all been charged with Possession of Stolen Property.
