Four face trafficking charges after P.A. drug bust

Four suspects are facing charges after a comprehensive drug investigation conducted by the Prince Albert Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit carried out a search warrant yesterday, March 14.

Officers searched a home on the 500 block of 24 St. W. at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police seized 49.8 grams of methamphetamine, 15.1 grams of cocaine and 1.8 grams of crack cocaine.

Mervin Vermette, 42, was arrested and charged with unlawfully trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and breaching court orders.

Police also arrested Mark Galloway, 29. He faces charges of unlawfully trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
