Bears sweep the Sharks, advance to second round

The Prince Albert Northern Bears turned up the heat this weekend to complete the sweep over the Battlefords Sharks and advance to the second round of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League playoffs.

They beat the Battlefords Sharks 7-3 in Game 3 for the three-game sweep.

The Bears beat the Sharks 5-0 on Saturday on the road in Game 2, after a difficult 2-1 overtime victory on Game 1 Thursday.

Kate Ball had two goals and an assist on Sunday to lead the way offensively for the Bears. Camryn Amundson had a goal and two assists.

Brooke Hobson, Hannah Koroll, Story Navrot and Ireland South also added goals for the Bears.
