P.A. Kinsmen to host Telemiracle fundraisers

Feb 21, 2017 | 1:00 PM

The Prince Albert Kinsmen Club is getting ready to host a number of events leading up to Telemiracle 41 in March.

Marcus Abrametz, president of the Kinsmen Club of Prince Albert, said being a Kinsman is all about supporting the community’s greatest needs, and Telemiracle is a great example of that.

“Telemiracle changes lives,” Abrametz said. “It’s just a great charity based in Saskatchewan and it gives all the money back to the people in Saskatchewan who need it most.”

On Feb. 24 the Kinsmen will be hosting their sixth-annual Kinsmen Telemiracle Cabaret Dance Concert at the Ches Leach Lounge.

“Every year we’ve been bringing in musical artists to provide entertainment,” Abrametz said. “This year we’re again bringing in Tim Toutant to be the main headlining performer.”

Maxwell Music will be performing during the intermissions.

Tickets for the cabaret are available at PA Soundworks, Harold’s Family Food, Salon Mint and Goodwin Financial Solutions at Cornerstone.

Last year’s cabaret brought in around $14,000, Abrametz said.

The Kinsmen will also be hosting their Telemiracle pancake breakfast at Humpty’s Restaurant on March 3, from 8 – 11 a.m. The breakfast will feature pancakes, sausage and coffee or juice for $5.

“They’re donating everything to Telemiracle,” Abrametz said.
