Hobson gets silver with Canada at Worlds

Prince Albert’s Brooke Hobson earned a silver medal along with Team Canada at the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Saturday in the Czech Republic.

Team Canada was undefeated in the tournament until the gold medal game, when they fell 3-1 to the United States. Canada had previously beaten the Americans 1-0 in the preliminary stages.

From the blueline, Hobson had one goal in the five tournament games. Hobson leads the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League for goals by defenders with eight in 15 games.
