UPDATE: RCMP capture escaped suspect

UPDATE: Donovan Misponas was apprehended by police. He will make his first court appearance today in La Ronge.

The Pinehouse RCMP are still searching for a man who escaped their custody over the weekend.  

Donovan Misponas was arrested Saturday, Jan. 7, for a violent offence. The following morning he was taken to the Medical Clinic in Pinehouse where he escaped. 

He is described as a 31-year-old First Nations male, 5’7″ and 140lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.

As of yesterday, Misponas has been charged with multiple offences including two counts of assault, one count of assaulting a police officer, and one count of escaping lawful custody. 

If anyone knows where Misponas is, they are urged to call the Pinehouse RCMP or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
