P.A. RCMP arrest one, seeking second suspect in armed robbery case

Police have one man in custody and are seeking another after a botched armed robbery in Northside yesterday, Dec. 8.

Prince Albert RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a roughly 6:45 p.m. One man entered the business, produced what is believed to be a firearm and demanded cash. Another man was seen outside the business holding a knife, police said.

The man who entered the business did not obtain any cash or property before the pair fled from the scene in a vehicle.

Both P.A. officers along with members from the Waskesiu detachment patrolled the area before locating the suspect vehicle on Highway 263. The lone occupant was arrested and officers seized an air pistol along with a knife.
