Strong second lifts Mintos over Blazers

The Prince Albert Mintos scored four goals in the second period as they defeated the Saskatoon Blazers 5-3 Tuesday at the Art Hauser Centre.

The Mintos improved to 6-4 on the season. The Blazers are now 5-6-1.  

The Blazers led 2-1 after the opening 20 minutes before the Mintos won the second period 4-0.

Layne Matechuk, Connor Pyne and Kalem Nohnychuk all had a goal and an assist for the Mintos. Logan Barlage scored a highlight reel goal shorthanded in the second period, while Kyle Schneider added a goal.
