The Prince Albert Mintos were chomping at the bit in anticipation for Thursday’s game for quite some time. After a 13-day delay from their last Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League game, the Mintos beat the Saskatoon Blazers 5-2 Thursday at the Harold Latrace Arena in Saskatoon.

Logan Barlage, Braden Schneider and Connor Pyne all had a goal and an assist in the Mintos’ victory. . Jacob Leicht and Kyrell Sopotyk also scored for the Mintos. D-man Alex Moar had two assists

Although Schneider had a great offensive showing from the blueline, he was given a major penalty for checking to the head with 5:12 left in the third period and could be facing a suspension.

This weekend, the Mintos will play at home for the first time since Oct. 6. They’ll take on the Moose Jaw Generals on Saturday and the Notre Dame Hounds on Sunday. Both games are at the Art Hauser Centre with 1:30 p.m. puck drops.
