Bears sweep Stars in Saskatoon

The Prince Albert Northern Bears picked up a 4-3 overtime victory over the Saskatoon Stars Sunday to complete a two-game sweep in Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League action.

The Stars were a perfect 5-0 before this weekend’s two-game set. The Bears won Saturday’s game 4-2.

Kate Ball scored the overtime winner three minutes into the overtime frame. Abby Soyko had two goals in the contest.

The Bears are returning home to the Kinsmen Arena Oct. 29-30 to take on the Melville Prairie Fire.
