UPDATE: RCMP searching for man after death on Little Pine First Nation

UPDATE: Sheldon Kyle Thunderblanket has been charged and a warrant issued for multiple offenses including, first degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, two counts of breach of undertaking, mischief and assault.

One adult was found dead and one injured after reports of gunshots overnight on Little Pine First Nation.

RCMP are searching for Sheldon Kyle Thunderblanket, 40, in relation to the incident, according to an RCMP release.

He is described as an Aboriginal male, 5’6” tall, 209 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes.

According to the release, RCMP believe he may be armed and is considered dangerous. Police said Thunderblanket may be on the Sweetgrass First Nation, but this has not been confirmed. If you see him, do not approach him and contact police immediately by dialing 911.

Cut Knife RCMP attended a residence on Little Pine First Nation just before midnight on Oct. 10 after reports of gunshots, where they found two injured adults. One was pronounced dead on the scene and one was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
