Responsible spending vs. record spending
Prince Albert mayoral candidate Josh Morrow has a wealth of project management experience he will bring to City Hall. In his professional life he was tasked with making sure projects were done correctly, on time, and within budget.
“Why do we have to repeat projects three times?” he asks. “This is not record investment. This is record spending! As taxpayers we are getting ripped off.”
“We need someone who’s going to treat city hall as a business and be accountable as Mayor,” he says. “City projects are not getting accomplished properly, wasting tax payer’s dollars and causing hassles for everyone. This is not acceptable.”
Many extensive city construction projects have spiraled far past their original completion date. The ‘Big Dig’ at 15th St. and 2nd Ave. E which was supposed to take three months and stretched on for five months exceeding budget amounts by hundreds of thousands of dollars.
