Two missing children in Amber Alert located, suspect charged with abduction

RCMP in Wakaw have located two missing children at the centre of an Amber Alert issued on Wednesday.

Just before 1:00 PM, RCMP arrested 18-year-old Jarrod Charles, from the La Ronge area, at a home in St. Louis. Investigators located the two missing children inside the house.

He was charged with two counts of abduction of a person under the age of 14 and two counts of breach of undertaking under the Criminal Code.

Charles appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court Thursday afternoon. His next appearance will be on Oct. 3.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and no update on the children involved in the abduction is available at this time.
