A recent school zone speeding blitz by the Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) showed how many drivers don’t slow down when driving by schools.

The initiative from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 22 and 23 led to 49 people receiving speeding tickets.

As well, two stolen vehicles were recovered, four suspended drivers were stopped and one impaired driver was apprehended.

Various other tickets for charges such as disobeying a red stop sign, driving with a learners permit without accompaniment and driving an unregistered vehicle were handed out.
