Handmade goods were the bond that brought a community and an education program together.

The Saskatchewan Urban Native Teacher Education Program (SUNTEP) held their second trade show at Riverside Community School on Saturday, Sept. 24. Their program is based around providing a culturally sensitive environment for Aboriginal students..

SUNTEP president Ysabel Galagos said their trade show was first conceived to help strengthen ties between the program and the community they’re learning to help.

Though larger name brands such as Partyline and Epicure were featured, Galagos said the homemade items available were the priority.
