Aug 19, 2016 | 6:18 PM

The Biggar-area man accused of second-degree murder in the death of Colten Boushie has been granted bail.

The written decision, delivered by Justice Neil Gabrielson, states Gerald Stanley, 54, can be released upon depositing a $10,000 cash surety and under many conditions.

Some of those conditions include that he must stay within a four-mile radius of an approved residence 24 hours a day unless granted permission. He must not possess any weapons, he must not contact the family of Colten Boushie, he must enroll in an electric monitoring program, he must not leave Saskatchewan without permission and he must not travel within a 20-mile radius of Red Pheasant First Nation unless in the case of an emergency.

Yesterday, Aug. 18, Stanley pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder of Colten Boushie. The 22-year-old was shot and killed last week on Stanley’s farm near Biggar.
