Long weekend travellers can expect delays

The trip to the lake this weekend may be move a bit slower.

There are a number of highway construction projects underway this long weekend in the Prince Albert area including paving work on Highway 2, north of the Diefenbaker Bridge.

Highway crews are also working on Highway 120 near Candle Lake and on Highway 263 near Christopher Lake.

The Saskatchewan government has a record budget for highways and infrastructure this year, totalling $1.15 billion.

The upgrades to the roads include paving, rut filling, grading, bridge construction, and general spot improvements.
