UPDATE: P.A. softball team still in the running for provincial title

It was a bag of mixed results for Prince Albert’s senior softball teams in their provincial championship games. 

The Prince Albert Blue Jays and the Prince Albert RnW Pirates participated in day two of the 2016 Softball Saskatchewan Senior C Men’s Provincial Championship Saturday, July 23 at Prime Minister’s Park.

The Blue Jays lost both their games, falling 10-8 to Regina Silver Screen in their afternoon game, and 9-6 to the Saskatoon Padres in the evening game.

The RnW Pirates fared better beating the Pipestone Pirates 7-3 in their afternoon game, before losing 18-10 to the Moose Jaw Canucks in their evening game.

They advanced to the playoffs on Sunday, July 24 where they beat Saskatoon Merchants.
