Volunteers and youth visit Green Hill often, meaning there’s never a dull day.

“The best thing we can share is a smile,” co-owner Amir Ashraf says.

He and fellow co-owners Dr. Syed Ali, Zabi Ullah and Allan Balan first purchased the space from the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region to provide a facility focused on compassionate care.

“It’s all about compassion, all about treating our seniors with respect & dignity, giving them the opportunity to be as independent as they want while still having the security of knowing that we are always here. And it shows with the care we provide,” he says.

Green Hill Lodge and Suites offers a wide range of personal care services from light care, where minimal supervision might be required, to higher more personalised care. The services provided to the diverse group of seniors living here vary from supervision of daily activities, to mobility and medication assistance or taking care of their bathing and grooming needs. Certified professional care staff are on 24/7 and can handle any need or emergency. Green Hill has gone above and beyond what is required by the province to provide the best and most well-equipped home in the city in their level of care category.

You’re guaranteed to never go hungry at Green Hill.

“At the end of the day Prince Albert has a large and thriving senior community. We want them to be able to stay physically and emotionally independent for as long as they can. If we are able to provide them with a place that might replace or even just delay their progression to a long term care facility, then it will be an opportunity for the families while taking off some of the burdens of those long term care facilities,” Amir says.

By offering rooms for the active seniors in Prince Albert, Green Hill Lodge and Suites is alleviating the stress on the health region and Victoria Hospital, which in turn means better health services for everyone in Prince Albert.

Renovations were only recently completed, but already more than half the rooms at Green Hill are occupied and current vacancies will be filled quickly.

“It’s a great responsibility to take care of Prince Albert’s seniors and we’re absolutely up to the task,” Amir says.

To cap off a successful first year, Green Hill just won the Best Retirement Residence at the paNOW Best of the Best awards.
