The Garth Brooks tour crew will make Prince Albert home for the next few days while the country star plays six concerts over four days in Saskatoon.

While the star will be staying elsewhere, Brooks' staff will be staying in the Ramada hotel on Highway 2 for the tour's short stay in Saskatchewan as there was no hotel available in Saskatoon to accommodate the large crew.

“We were told in Saskatoon that we had to keep going another 150 kilometers north to this tiny little town,” a driver said.

“I had no idea where we were supposed to go, I don’t think many of us did,” another driver said. “We plugged this place into our GPS units and continued further North into (Prince Albert).”

The last time Garth Brooks played in Saskatoon he sold a total of 14,605 tickets setting the current record for attendance. This time around, a total of 15,300 people are expected to attend the shows smashing his previous record.

Following the performances scheduled this weekend, Brooks will head to Winnipeg.

EDITOR'S NOTE - A previous version of this story said Garth Brooks himself was staying in Prince Albert. It is only his crew staying in town.
