It started with a hockey stick, but ended with a weapons bust

A machete, a sword, and several guns were seized Monday morning, following an incident in Prince Albert’s West flat.

Shortly after 1 a.m. police were dispatched to the 1200 block of 15th Street West for a report of a female wielding a hockey stick and trying to smash windows out of a residence. 

When officers arrived at the scene, the suspect was found inside the residence along with numerous firearms and ammunition including two sawed off shotguns, a sawed off .22 caliber rifle, a .77 caliber BB rifle, a machete and a sword. 

The woman was taken into custody without incident.

An 18-year-old woman now faces four charges of unsafe storage of a firearm, four charges of possession of a weapon, four charges of unauthorized Possession of a Firearm and a possession of a loaded prohibited firearm charge.
