Sewap death ruled a homicide

The discovery of a body behind a midtown hardware store has become Prince Albert's first murder of 2011.

Margaret Rose Sewap, 33, was discovered earlier this month in a snow bank behind the Bolt Supply Store along 17th Street East.

Her death is now being ruled a homicide, said Sgt Kelly McLean with the Prince Albert Police Service.

The cause of death and other information is being withheld at this time, he said.

“The autopsy on Sewap has been completed. The results of this autopsy remain with the coroner’s office pending toxicology and other test results.”

Our investigators have made some progress, but so far we have no suspects, said McLean.

Police are asking anyone with information or who had contact with Sewap recently to come forward and speak with police.
