Mountie pleads guilty to sexual assault, but won’t do time

A Saskatchewan RCMP officer who pleaded guilty to sexual assault will not serve jail time.

Constable Randy McKay appeared in court in Dillon, Jan. 20. Dillon is a small community roughly six hours north west of Prince Albert.

The incident happened at a house in Dillon on May 20. McKay had been off duty at the time.

He was given a 12 month conditional sentence. He also received a $100 fine and was ordered to submit a DNA sample to the national database.
