Fatal fire in northwest Regina

One person is dead after an early morning fire in northwest Regina.
Flames were shooting out of the home when firefighters arrived to the duplex on the 300 block ofMarkwell Drive at 1:15 a.m.
A man was taken out of the home with critical injuries. He was treated by EMS but died on scene. The man’s name or age have not been released.
Regina Fire said the duplex was a total loss and are now investigating.
