Local fitness experts say make realistic resolutions
Losing weight and getting fit is a goal that many will set as their resolution this New Year’s; unfortunately most will give up before they even begin to see results.
While it does entail some hard work and determination, 4 Horsemen Fitness personal trainer Jenn Fehr said the best way to avoid failure is to make sure fitness goals are realistic.
“Sometimes people have these huge goals and they expect them to happen really quickly. But you have to work at those goals and sometime they come a little bit slower then what people want,” she said. “It is just a matter of saying okay this is a New Year’s resolution goal so I need to stick it with from January until the end of the year not from January until March.”
Fehr said sometimes all it takes is a bit of guidance from a personal trainer to help ensure your fitness goals can be met.
