Tanner Byrne’s success in the Professional Bull Riding ranks earns him a spot in the Top 10 Sports Stories of the Year of 2015.

Byrne capped off the year won the PBR Canada Championship in Saskatoon on Nov. 21, which was also his cousin’s, Scott Byrne’s, final bull fighting performance of his career.

Before that, the 23-year-old Byrne finished the 2015 PBR season ranked eighth in the world, bringing home a career high of $230,908 in prize money. He was also the only Canadian rider to finish in the Top 25 in the world standings.
