Education students from the First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) Prince Albert Northern Campus got to try their hand at teaching physical education to a group of Riverside Community School students on Tuesday.

Throughout the morning the teachers in training organized a variety of physical activities including a jigging lesson and round dance as well as various other activities that students rotated between.

Nancy Dragon, a teacher at the University’s Prince Albert Northern Campus said it was a great opportunity for her students to get out of the classroom and get some hands on experience.

Approximately 30 students from Riverside Community School got to take part in the festivities that took place at the Margo Fournier Centre gymnasium.
