Remains of Karina Wolfe discovered in Corman Park

Nov 27, 2015 | 10:36 AM

The remains of a young Saskatoon woman missing since July 2010 have been found and a man is facing charges in connection.

On Friday Saskatoon police identified human remains located earlier this month as those of 20-year-old Karina Beth Ann Wolfe. Major crimes arrested a 33-year-old man they said they believe is connected to Wolfe’s disappearance and murder. He is expected to appear in provincial court on Monday, Nov. 30.

On Nov. 10 the Saskatoon Police Service received information that led them to a rural location northwest of Saskatoon. Human remains were recovered on Nov. 14, in the same area. DNA has since confirmed that the remains are those of Karina Wolfe.

Next of kin was notified on Nov. 26. At this time the family of Karina Wolfe is requesting privacy. The police request that members of the media respect that.

A news conference is planned for Monday, Nov. 30, at 9 a.m. in the Community Room at Saskatoon Police Service Headquarters.
